Leah is a new girl at a school filled with normal people. She moved after her mother was killed by a vampire, trying to get to her and she escaped. But, the vampire had nipped her in the wrist, though it wasnt enough venom to turn her. Now, she meets a guy who goes to school on a reservation who seems to be nice, but she's scared of trusting anyone. Now, the vampire is hunting her as well. Will she be able to trust anyone?

I watched as my dad pulled up into the driveway at his house. I looked around and then glanced towards the woods and shuddered, before grabbing my duffle bag and getting out of the car. I stretched a little then followed my dad towards the house, while looking around at some of the other houses, noticing that there werent many around, just the huge woods.

I walked outside smelling the fresh air. I looked around and smelled something different. I walked down the road some and seen a girl with brown hair walking in a house. I glanced around woundering who she was. I sgrugged and headed to the woods. I went to the woods my human self and glanced around looking for anything to chase. Then at the corner of my eye i seen a dowe and her baby. I sighed and kept walking eyes still on the look out.

My dad showed me my room, then left to go to work and I sighed and unpacked, then headed outside. I stopped for a mintue and glanced at the scar where the vampire had bitten me and I shuddered and walked down the street, glancing at the woods again, but not daring to go into it.

After a while i came out of the woods kinda at the same place i entered. I jumped out and dusted the leaves and things off of me. When i jumped out i jumped infront of the brown headed girl i seen earlier.

I jumped back when I seen the guy come out of the woods and quickly hid the scar as I looked at him, backing up slightly.

"Im sorry i didnt mean to scare you." i said looking at her with a slight smile.

"Thats ok." I said smiling shyly back. "Who are you?" I asked relaxing a little and looking at him.

"James, but people call me J.T." i said looking at her. "And you?"

"Leah." I said looking around, then back at J.T.

"Did you just move here?" i asked smiling kindly at her.

"Yeah." I said shuddering slightly as I remembered the vampire.

"Thats cool. I hope you like it here." i said smiling. "May i show you around?" i asked nicely.

"Sure." I said smiling at him and waiting for him to lead the way.

I smiled and started to walk beside her. "So where you from?" i asked.

"I'm from Oregon." I said looking around, then looking at him again.

"Really..why did you move here?" i asked looking over at her and still walking.

"My mom was killed by an animal." I said, lieing about the animal part, though I was a good lier as I looked away.

I looked down "An animal?" i asked looking at her in the corner of my eye and then at the ground.

"Yeah, a bear." I said glancing at him, thought I was there at the whole scene and I flinched inwardly as I remembered the scene plainly.

"A bear." i said looking at her. "Im sorry." i said as we walked i heard something move in the woods. I looked sharply at it and growled some.

I looked around and sighed. "Its ok, I just hope the bear doesnt attack anyone else." I said looking at him.

I stopped and looked in the woods my eyes narrowed. I growled alittle louder hoping she wouldnt hear. I sniffed some and growled more.

I clenched my wrist as it started to burn and I looked at J.T. "I have to go, I guess I will see you around." I said before turning around and walking back towards the house.
